At Star Dance School we provide you with structured and fun dance classes that will also give you a great workout.
We always start the class with a warm up. This includes stretching, a brief review of what we taught in the previous class, and some basic figures and footwork you'll need for the rest of the class.
The review and the footwork will be the basis for the rest of the class. This means that if this is your first lesson, you'll be able to follow the rest of the class quite easily.
You will have to be patient - you won't become the greatest hip hop dancer in one lesson, but you will learn more each lesson you attend and eventually develop an excellent choreography and even your own style. Our talented, energetic, and friendly instructors will have you hip hop dancing in no time at all.

Hip-hop dancing incorporates a variety of old and new urban dance styles, such as breakdancing or b-boying/b-girling, popping, locking and boogying, and emerged in 1970s in South Bronx, New York City. The dancing represents body movements that go with the beat and rhythm of hip hop music. Hip-Hop dance is very dynamic and improvisational in nature, with jumps, breakages, and rotations in the movements. Hip hop dancers frequently engage in formal or informal freestyle dance competitions, or battles. Hip hop dancing is considered a good exercise and helps the dancers to improve flexibility, to develop body balance, and to coordinate the muscles.
